Quartz is one of the most popular species for New Hampshire mineral collectors. It is found in many different varities including clear, milky, smoky, amethyst (purple-lavender), rose, and the botryoidal form chalcedoney.

Special, escorted, access granted for a short visit. From the direction of the quartz dike, it is clear this is an extension of the Johnson Road dike. No sulfide mineralization was seen in the Continental Quarry exposure.
